At Le Grand Courtil, on 3 April 2021, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Hamel), much loved and respected dad of Martyn, Andrew, Jan and Sue, father-in-law of Karen, Renee, Chris and Mike, loving grandpa of Danny, Devon, Claire, Sarah, Brendan, Robert, Ben, Tom, Stefan and Brooke, great grandpa (pop-pop) of Bellina, Isaac, Lucas, Rosalie, Leo, Rupert, Seth and Charlie. Funeral service to be held at St Saviour's Parish Church on Friday, 16 April at 3. 00 p. m. All family and friends welcome. Family flowers only. Donations in Dick's memory may be sent to The Palliative Care Nurses, c/o Mrs S Butler, Meldrum Way, Braye Road, Vale GY3 5PR.

Tribute from Sarah Fooks

Grandpa will always hold a special place in my heart and my life. As a child, my Dad always said, "wave to Grandma & Grandpa in Guernsey" when we were at the beach in America. Now when I look at the ocean I'll think of him.

Grandpa was so wise and full of facts and stories about every subject, yet he had a comical side. The past few conversations I had with him in January consisted of stories and tons of laughs. It was great to hear him laugh, and Grandma usually joined in :) I will never forget him, and I know we will all be reunited in Heaven one day. Love, Sarah
