Suddenly on 22nd January 2021, aged 86 years. Devoted and loving husband of the late Nancy, adored father and father-in-law of Martin and Jules, Julie and the late Mark. A loved grandfather of Matthew, Jodie, Edward and Tom and much loved Big Poppy of Willow and Poppy. Due to the current situation, we will be holding a private funeral with a service of celebration once lockdown is over. I remember you told me that you felt you're getting closer to the firing line every time you are going to the doctor's appointment because you knew that there won't be any more good news for you as they can do no more for your condition . Now I begin to understand 😞 I just still can't accept that you're now gone forever. No more Guernsey Papa for Kim. No more warm hugs everytime I see you. No more making you coffee. No more sending crabmeat soup to your doorstep during cold evenings. No more welcoming you to Dragon and peeling off your wet wipes and biscuit wrappers.
You taught me how to appreciate companionship and you showed them through your life. You always share to us what flowers you put up for grandmom's grave during your visits every Friday. Sometimes yellow roses sometimes tangerine. And today you're about to buy a bouquet to go n see her then a sudden tragedy happened to yourself and you couldn't make it. You missed her, and everytime you rolled in tears when you talk about Nan. I guess you guys are having a reunion at the other side now?
I will never erase you in mind, and I promise to hold you in my heart till the day we will meet again in heaven.Thank you for your words of comfort when I'm lost and I am grateful that the memories of you that I hold are those of your presence. The times we spent will now turn into treasured memories the moment you leave us to be with the Lord. Rest In Peace my Guernsey Grandpa. Love always, your Chinese Granddaughter Kim💐
