The death has been announced of Louise Fell at Vero Beach, Florida on 20th December 2021 at the age of 96. She with her music teacher husband Romley and their three daughters, moved to Guernsey in 1962 where she quickly established herself as a leading soprano soloist, performing principally with the Choral Society (later the Choral & Orchestral Society) both here and in France. She left the Island in 1972, her husband having died in 1967 and her daughters having settled off-island, but she continued the close friendships she had established and also continued to perform local singing engagements for approaching 20 years. She was a delightful "larger than life" character and all fortunate enough to have known her and heard her wonderful voice will never forget her. Louise is survived by her three daughters, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
