Peacefully, on 8 March 2026, aged 84. A loving and loved husband, father, and grandfather; a man of original insight, steadfastness, and wit. A well-regarded figure noted for his friendliness and fairness, Heinz dedicated nearly five decades to Guernsey's hospitality industry, serving at Le Chalet, Hotel de Havelet, and Moores, and as President of the Guernsey Hotels and Tourism Association. In retirement, he reached a quiet clarity and turned toward a more private life. Having played his many parts well, he has now gone beyond the limits of a single life. In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony was held at Le Foulon on 18 March 2026. The family is deeply moved by the care, continuing respect and kindness, and expressions of support they have received.Ex terra ad astra; ex unda ad mare.
